As voted by international film producers, screenwriter/director Silva Ćapin won the European Short Pitch award for her short debut project The Rudeness of a German Lady.
The ESP development phase of the film consisted of 3 sessions. During the first stage, which took place in Lithuania, the director participated in a scriptwriting workshop, where she had a chance to work with renowned mentors like Nadja Dumouchel (TV channel ARTE), Razvan Radulescu (The Death of Mr Lazarescu), and many others. The workshop was followed by a successful online scriptwriting session.
The third part of ESP was a co-production forum, held from 22 to 25 March in Poznan, Poland. At the forum, the selected projects were presented by their respective teams to a large audience of international producers. The Croatian entry, The Rudeness of a German Lady, was presented by the producer Rea Rajčić and director Silva Ćapin. In addition to being selected by a secret ballot as one of the best of the 16 projects, The Rudeness received a cash prize as well.
